Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team overwhelm the visiting Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), 14-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals confront the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A challenge, on Monday, May 2. Union Academy will attempt to better on its 16-0 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 3-2 league loss to North Stanly (New London, NC).

The Bulldogs now have a 0-11 record. They take the field next when they host Robinson for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A challenge on Monday, May 2. Albemarle will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league win over South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-6.
