Massachusetts High School Softball - Hopkins Academy bounces Athol

The Hopkins Academy Golden Hawks (Hadley, MA) softball routed the host Athol Bears (Athol, MA), 10-5 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Golden Hawks (2-4) will now prepare for their bout against Smith Academy (Hatfield, MA). The Falcons go into the PVIAC - Franklin East bout with a 3-5 record. In their last bout, Smith Academy held off Mahar Regional (Orange, MA), 29-3, in a league bout.

The Bears now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Franklin County Tech for a PVIAC - Franklin East bout on Thursday, April 28. Athol will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Mohawk Trail Regional (Buckland, MA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-1.
