Steele Comets (Amherst, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH), 13-2 in a league challenge.

The Comets now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Olmsted Falls for a Southwestern challenge on Thursday, April 28. Steele will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Avon (Avon, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-7.

With the loss, Avon Lake falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Shoremen travel to Elyria (Elyria, OH) to face the Pioneers in a Southwestern challenge on Thursday, April 28.
