Wilson Area Warriors (Easton, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bangor Slaters (Bangor, PA), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palisades for a Colonial - East challenge on Friday, April 29. Wilson Area will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Northern Lehigh (Slatington, PA). The Pirates record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Bangor falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Slaters host Catasauqua (Catasauqua, PA) to battle the Rough Riders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 28. The Rough Riders enter the challenge with a record of 4-5. Catasauqua lost 15-2 in their recent league challenge against Southern Lehigh (Center Valley, PA)
