Swan Valley Vikings (Saginaw, MI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Birch Run Panthers (Birch Run, MI), 9-4 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Central Montcalm for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 30.

With the loss, Birch Run falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Tawas Area (Tawas City, MI) to face the Braves in a Huron Shores challenge on Thursday, April 28. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Tawas Area lost 13-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Gladwin (Gladwin, MI)
