Cooperstown Hawkeyes (Cooperstown, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Waterville Indians (Waterville, NY), 14-0 in a league challenge.

The Hawkeyes now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Holland Patent for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 2. Cooperstown will battle a Golden Knights squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Sherburne-Earlville (Sherburne, NY). The Golden Knights record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Waterville falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Indians host Sherburne-Earlville (Sherburne, NY) to battle the Marauders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 30. The Marauders enter the challenge with a record of 1-5.
