Discovery Warriors (Pacoima, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Sun Valley Magnet Pioneers (Sun Valley, CA), 22-12 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Locke for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Discovery will face a Saints squad coming off a 13-6 league loss to Fremont (Los Angeles, CA). The Saints record now stands at 2-10.

With the loss, Sun Valley Magnet falls to 2-4 on the campaign.
