Immaculate Mustangs (Danbury, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT), 15-2 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newtown for a Southwest - Colonial challenge on Friday, April 29. Immaculate will battle a Nighthawks squad coming off a 21-0 non-league win over Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT). The Nighthawks record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Pomperaug falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Brookfield (Brookfield, CT) to battle the Bobcats in a Southwest - Patriot challenge on Thursday, April 28. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Brookfield won 13-5 in their recent league challenge against Weston (Weston, CT)
