South Central Falcons (Winterville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northside - Pinetown Panthers (Pinetown, NC), 12-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Havelock for a Big East 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, April 28. South Central will battle a Rams squad coming off a 5-3 league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Rams record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, Northside - Pinetown falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Jones (Trenton, NC) to battle the Trojans in a Coastal Plains 1A/2A challenge on Friday, April 29. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 6-11. Jones lost 13-2 in their recent league challenge against East Carteret (Beaufort, NC)
