Illinois High School Baseball - Brother Rice defeats Chicago Mt. Carmel

Brother Rice Crusaders (Chicago, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan (Chicago, IL), 16-8 in a league test.

With the win, Brother Rice upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL) to battle the Celtics in a Chicago Catholic - Blue test on Saturday, April 29. The Celtics come into the contest with a record of 19-2. Providence Catholic won 1-0 in their recent league contest against St. Laurence (Burbank, IL)

The Caravan now sport a 13-7 record. They take the field next when they host St. Laurence for a Chicago Catholic - Blue contest on Saturday, April 29. Chicago Mt. Carmel will play a Vikings squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 16-7.
