In Thursday's league game, the host Galena Grizzlies baseball team scored a tight 8-2 victory over the Reed Raiders.
The Grizzlies (15-8) will now prepare for their game against Spanish Springs (Sparks, NV). The Cougars go into the 5A North game with a 12-10 record. In their last game, Spanish Springs was overwhelmed by Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV), 5-1, in a league game.
The Raiders (3-21) will now prepare for their game against Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA). The Raging Rhinos go into the non-league game with a 10-11 record. In their last game, Twelve Bridges was overwhelmed by Antelope (Antelope, CA), 7-4, in a non-league game.
