North Carolina High School Baseball - Swansboro holds off Richlands

Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) and the host Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC), saw Swansboro's baseball squad knock off Richlands by a count of 7-3.

Coming up next, the Pirates play the West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) in a Coastal 3A battle, on Tuesday, May 2. Swansboro will attempt to move on its 10-11 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 12-6 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to South Central (Winterville, NC).

The Wildcats now possess a 3-17 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverside-Martin for a non-league battle on Monday, May 1. Richlands will play a Knights squad coming off a 14-3 league win over Bertie (Windsor, NC). The Knights record now stands at 12-8.
