The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) and the host Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties (Woonsocket, RI), saw Chariho's volleyball squad nip Mount St. Charles Academy by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Chariho upgrades its record to 6-3 on the year. The Chargers host Classical (Providence, RI) to play the Purples in a Division 1 (State) bout on Monday, May 1. The Purples go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Classical won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI)

The Mounties now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Cranston East for a Division 1 (State) bout on Monday, May 1. Mount St. Charles Academy will play a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Cranston West (Cranston, RI). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 4-6.
