The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC) and the host West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC), saw Central Academy's soccer squad knock off West Stanly by a count of 3-1.

The Cougars now hold a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Palisades for a non-league test on Friday, April 28. Central Academy will meet a Pumas squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Harding University (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas record now stands at 4-12.

With the loss, West Stanly drops to 15-3 on the season. The Colts travel to Parkwood (Monroe, NC) to meet the Wolf Pack in a Rocky River 2A/3A test on Tuesday, May 2. The Wolf Pack come into the test with a record of 3-14. Parkwood lost 7-0 in their recent league test against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC)
