Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Laguna Creek Cardinals (Elk Grove, CA) and the host McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA), saw Laguna Creek's baseball squad knock off McClatchy by a count of 5-3.

Coming up next, the Cardinals play the Rio Americano Raiders (Sacramento, CA) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, May 3. Laguna Creek will attempt to move on its 10-10 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 16-6 record after their 13-6 league win over Del Campo (Fair Oaks, CA).
