The Arcola Purple Riders softball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting Sullivan Redskins to 2 in the Purple Riders non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Arcola improves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Purple Riders host Blue Ridge (Farmer City, IL) to clash with the Knights in a Lincoln Prairie game on Friday, April 28. The Knights come into the game with a record of 8-9. Blue Ridge won 8-3 in their recent non-league game against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL)

In their next game, the Redskins clash with the St. Teresa Bulldogs (Decatur, IL) in a Private School game, on Friday, April 28. Sullivan will attempt to improve on its 12-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 2-13 record after their 14-3 non-league loss to LeRoy (LeRoy, IL).
