Baldwin Bruins (Baldwin, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mineola Mustangs (New Hyde Park, NY), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Bruins now sport a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Rockaway for a Section 8 ABC-3 challenge on Tuesday, May 2. Baldwin will face a Rocks squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to Baldwin (Baldwin, NY). The Rocks record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Mineola falls to 0-2 on the campaign.
