Berrien Springs Shamrocks (Berrien Springs, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bridgman Bees (Bridgman, MI), 11-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Shamrocks now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buchanan for a Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph - Red challenge on Tuesday, May 2.

With the loss, Bridgman falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Bees travel to Martin (Martin, MI) to battle the Clippers in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. The Clippers enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Martin won 15-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Bloomingdale (Bloomingdale, MI)
