Lansingburgh Knights (Troy, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Cairo-Durham Mustangs (Cairo, NY), 17-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 1-11 record. They take the field next when they host Catholic Central for a Section 2 Colonial challenge on Friday, April 28. Lansingburgh will battle a Crusaders squad coming off a 9-0 league win over Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Cairo-Durham falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Germantown (Germantown, NY) to battle the Clippers in a Section 2 Patroon challenge on Friday, April 28. The Clippers enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. Germantown lost 19-3 in their recent league challenge against Watervliet (Watervliet, NY)
