The Orange County Fighting Hornets softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Charlottesville Black Knights to 0 in the Fighting Hornets league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Orange County moves its record to 9-3 on the year. The Fighting Hornets host Louisa County (Mineral, VA) to play the Lions in a Jefferson game on Thursday, May 4. The Lions come into the game with a record of 11-1.

In their next game, the Black Knights play the Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 1. Charlottesville will attempt to move on its 0-11 season record. The Lancers come into the game with a 10-1 record after their 19-0 league win over Liberty (Bedford, VA).
