In Thursday's non-league contest, the Coeur d'Alene Vikings (Coeur d'Alene, ID) softball team overwhelmed the host Sandpoint Bulldogs (Sandpoint, ID), by a margin of 19-4.
With the triumph, Coeur d'Alene moves its record to 12-4 on the year. The Vikings host Lewiston (Lewiston, ID) to play the Bengals in a 5A Inland Empire contest on Saturday, April 29. The Bengals come into the contest with a record of 10-8. Lewiston won 11-6 in their recent non-league contest against Lakeland (Rathdrum, ID)
In their next game, the Bulldogs play the Moscow Bears (Moscow, ID) in a 4A Inland Empire contest, on Tuesday, May 2. Sandpoint will attempt to move on its 0-20 season record. The Bears come into the contest with a 14-6 record after their 15-4 non-league win over Potlatch (Potlatch, ID).
