North Carolina High School Softball - Northside - Pinetown bounces East Carteret

The Northside - Pinetown Panthers routed the host East Carteret Mariners softball squad by a final score of 9-2 in Thursday's league battle.

The Panthers (15-3) will now prepare for their battle against Jones (Trenton, NC). The Trojans go into the Coastal Plains 1A/2A battle with a 9-6 record. In their last battle, Jones nudged Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC), 11-5, in a league battle.

The Mariners now possess a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Pamlico County for a Coastal Plains 1A/2A battle on Tuesday, May 2. East Carteret will meet a Hurricanes squad coming off a 23-0 league win over Southside (Chocowinity, NC). The Hurricanes record now stands at 17-3.
