Solanco Golden Mules (Quarryville, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ephrata Mountaineers (Ephrata, PA), 6-4 in a league challenge.

The Golden Mules now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lampeter-Strasburg for a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 2 challenge on Monday, May 1. Solanco will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Solanco (Quarryville, PA). The Pioneers record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Ephrata falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Conestoga Valley (Lancaster, PA) to face the Buckskins in a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 2 challenge on Monday, May 1.
