Spectators at Thursday's league match between the McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) and the host Erie Royals (Erie, PA), witnessed McDowell's softball squad prevail over Erie by a count of 9-0.

The Trojans now sport a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Conneaut Area for a District 10 Region 5 match on Tuesday, May 2. McDowell will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to General McLane (Edinboro, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Erie moves to 0-10 on the season. The Royals travel to Iroquois (Erie, PA) to meet the Braves in a non-league match on Friday, April 28. The Braves go into the match with a record of 4-5. Iroquois lost 6-5 in their recent league match against Maplewood (Guys Mills, PA)
