In Thursday's league contest, the Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA) softball team overwhelmed the host Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA), by a margin of 15-0.
With the triumph, Essex moves its record to 11-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA) to play the Eagles in a non-league contest on Monday, May 1. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 1-10.
In their next game, the Indians play the Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA) in a Northern Neck contest, on Tuesday, May 2. Northumberland will attempt to move on its 0-12 season record.
