Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Illiana Christian Vikings (Dyer, IN) and the host Munster Mustangs (Munster, IN), witnessed Illiana Christian's softball squad tip Munster by a count of 3-0.

The Vikings now sport a 10-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hanover Central for a Greater South Shore match on Monday, May 1. Illiana Christian will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Lowell (Lowell, IN). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-0.

With the loss, Munster moves to 8-10 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Kankakee Valley (Wheatfield, IN) to meet the Kougars in a Northwest Crossroads match on Friday, April 28. The Kougars go into the match with a record of 6-9. Kankakee Valley lost 6-4 in their recent league match against Hobart (Hobart, IN)
