The crowd at Thursday's league match between the St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL) and the visiting Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL), saw St. Laurence's softball squad nip Loyola Academy by a count of 5-1.

The Vikings now sport a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they host Resurrection for a GCAC- Red match on Friday, April 28. St. Laurence will face a Bandits squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL). The Bandits record now stands at 7-9.

With the loss, Loyola Academy falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Ramblers travel to Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL) to face the Broncos in a GCAC- Red match on Saturday, April 29. The Broncos enter the match with a record of 9-7. Montini Catholic won 12-2 in their recent league match against Resurrection (Chicago, IL)
