In Saturday's non-league game, the host Calhoun Warriors baseball team scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Southwestern Piasa Birds.
The Warriors (6-15) will now prepare for their game against Gillespie (Gillespie, IL). The Miners go into the non-league game with a 16-7 record. In their last game, Gillespie tipped Pana (Pana, IL), 6-2, in a league game.
The Piasa Birds (20-6) will now prepare for their game against Granite City (Granite City, IL). The Warriors go into the non-league game with a 3-15 record. In their last game, Granite City was edged by Belleville West (Belleville, IL), 8-2, in a non-league game.
