The Southwestern Piasa Birds the host Gillespie Miners baseball team by a count of 7-3 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Piasa Birds now possess a 20-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Calhoun for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 27. Southwestern will face a Warriors team coming off a 8-6 league loss to Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 5-14.
