Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), 16-2 in a league test.

With the win, Thornwood upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Crete-Monee (Crete, IL) to battle the Warriors in a Southland test on Monday, April 29. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 12-8. Crete-Monee won 8-6 in their recent non-league test against Argo (Summit, IL)

With the defeat, Thornton falls to 7-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL) to battle the Raptors in a Southland test on Monday, April 29. The Raptors come into the test with a record of 7-14. Rich Township lost 16-5 in their recent non-league test against Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL)
