Highland Rams (Monterey, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Parry McCluer for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. Highland will face a Fighting Blues squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Fighting Blues record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Eastern Montgomery falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Narrows (Narrows, VA) to face the Green Waves in a challenge on Monday, April 29. The Green Waves enter the challenge with a record of 3-8. Narrows lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Giles (Pearisburg, VA)
