Hodgdon Hawks (Hodgdon, ME) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME), 14-4 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Fort Fairfield for a Class D North challenge on Thursday, May 2. Hodgdon will face a Tigers squad coming off a 23-1 league loss to Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Ashland falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME) to face the Panthers in a Class D North challenge on Monday, April 29. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Central Aroostook won 16-1 in their recent league challenge against Madawaska (Madawaska, ME)
