Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Caribou Vikings (Caribou, ME), 28-13 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Spruce Mountain for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. Waterville will battle a Phoenix squad coming off a 18-6 league win over Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME). The Phoenix record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Caribou falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Vikings host Houlton (Houlton, ME) to battle the Shiretowners in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Shiretowners enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Houlton won 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME)
