Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 16-6 record. They take the field next when they host Socorro for a 3A District 3 challenge on Saturday, April 27. Cobre will face a Warriors squad coming off a 22-5 league win over Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 7-12.

With the loss, Socorro falls to 7-14 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Cobre (Bayard, NM) to face the Indians in a 3A District 3 challenge on Saturday, April 27. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 14-6. Cobre won 18-1 in their recent league challenge against Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM)
