Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Raphael Academy Saints (Pawtucket, RI), 9-4 in a league challenge.

The Oakers now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Moses Brown for a Division 1 (State) challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Coventry will battle a Quakers squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Cranston West (Cranston, RI). The Quakers record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, St. Raphael Academy falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Saints travel to East Providence (East Providence, RI) to battle the Townies in a Division 1 (State) challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Townies enter the challenge with a record of 1-8. East Providence lost 15-8 in their recent league challenge against Coventry (Coventry, RI)
