The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Hermleigh Cardinals (Hermleigh, TX) and the host Cross Plains Buffaloes (Cross Plains, TX), saw Hermleigh's softball squad achieve victory over Cross Plains by a count of 16-2.

The Cardinals now sport a 15-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Anna for a non-league match on Saturday, May 4. Hermleigh will face a Mountaineers squad coming off a 10-7 non-league win over Van Horn (Van Horn, TX). The Mountaineers record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Cross Plains falls to 1-6 on the campaign.
