Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Hancock Panthers (Hancock, MD), 17-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Sentinels now sport a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Berlin Brothersvalley for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Fort Hill will face a Mountaineers squad coming off a 22-5 league win over North Star (Boswell, PA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 8-6.

With the loss, Hancock falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Panthers host Clear Spring (Clear Spring, MD) to face the Blazers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Blazers enter the challenge with a record of 0-21. Clear Spring lost 14-7 in their recent league challenge against Smithsburg (Smithsburg, MD)
