Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) and the host Harlan County Black Bears (Harlan, KY), witnessed South Laurel's softball squad prevail over Harlan County by a count of 18-0.

The Cardinals now sport a 17-5 record. They play next when they host North Laurel for a non-league match on Monday, April 29. South Laurel will meet a Jaguars squad coming off a 11-7 non-league loss to Corbin (Corbin, KY). The Jaguars record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Harlan County moves to 6-12 on the season. The Black bears host Middlesboro (Middlesboro, KY) to meet the Yellowjackets in a District 52 match on Thursday, May 2. The Yellowjackets go into the match with a record of 9-8. Middlesboro won 7-4 in their recent non-league match against Cumberland Gap (Cumberland Gap, TN)
