Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) and the host Plainview Bulldogs (Plainview, TX), witnessed Lubbock-Cooper's softball squad prevail over Plainview by a count of 11-1.

The Pirates now sport a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to Chapin for a non-league match on Thursday, May 2. Lubbock-Cooper will face a Huskies squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Hanks (El Paso, TX). The Huskies record now stands at 28-9.

With the loss, Plainview moves to 6-22 on the season.
