Spectators at Saturday's league match between the Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL) and the visiting Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), witnessed Thornwood's softball squad prevail over Thornton by a count of 21-6.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Crete-Monee for a Southland Athletic match on Monday, April 29. Thornwood will face a Warriors squad coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 5-11.

With the loss, Thornton moves to 1-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL) to face the Raptors in a Southland Athletic match on Monday, April 29. The Raptors go into the match with a record of 7-13. Rich Township lost 20-0 in their recent non-league match against Wilmington (Wilmington, IL)
