North Carolina High School Baseball - Avery County loses to Mitchell

The Mitchell Mountaineers triumphed over the visiting Avery County Vikings baseball squad by a score of 15-9 in Monday's league outing.

Next up, the Mountaineers battle the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) in a Western Highlands 2A/3A outing, on Tuesday, April 28. Mitchell will attempt to advance on its 10-13 season record. The Vikings come into the outing with a 7-11 record after their 16-1 league loss to Polk County (Columbus, NC).

The Vikings (7-12) will now prepare for their outing against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Mountaineers come into the Western Highlands 2A/3A outing with a 9-13 record. In their last outing, Mitchell was overwhelmed by Madison (Marshall, NC), 8-0, in a league outing.
