The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Smith Vo-Tech Vikings (Northampton, MA) and the host Gateway Regional Gators (Huntington, MA), observed Smith Vo-Tech's softball team prevail over Gateway Regional by a tally of 22-11.

The Vikings (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Holyoke (Holyoke, MA). The Knights go into the non-league bout with a 4-5 record. In their last bout, Holyoke was routed by Chicopee (Chicopee, MA), 11-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Gators clash with the Southwick Regional Rams (Southwick, MA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 30. Gateway Regional will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 11-10 non-league loss to Mount Everett Regional (Sheffield, MA).
