In Thursday's league challenge, the St. Mary's Ryken Knights (Leonardtown, MD) baseball squad edged the host Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA), by a final score of 5-4.
With the win, St. Mary's Ryken upgrades its record to 4-15 on the season.
With the defeat, Bishop Ireton falls to 14-9 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD) to battle the Mustangs in a Washington Catholic challenge on Monday, May 2. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 9-7. Bishop McNamara won 5-3 in their recent league challenge against DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD)
