In Thursday's league game, the host John Marshall Monarchs baseball team scored a tight 7-3 victory over the Brooke Bruins.
The Monarchs (3-7) will now prepare for their game against Washington (Charles Town, WV). The Patriots go into the non-league game with a 10-5 record. In their last game, Washington was overwhelmed by Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV), 6-2, in a league game.
The Bruins (3-11) will now prepare for their game against Toronto (Toronto, OH). The Red Knights go into the non-league game with a 10-6 record. In their last game, Toronto tipped Madonna (Weirton, WV), 8-2, in a non-league game.
