The Smithfield Sentinels baseball team (Esmond, RI), was overwhelmed 13-3 in Thursday's league outing with the visiting Lincoln Lions (Lincoln, RI)
The Lions now hold a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tolman for a non-league outing on Saturday, April 30. Lincoln will confront a Tigers team coming off a 4-2 league win over Scituate (North Scituate, RI). The Tigers record now stands at 4-6.
Next, the Sentinels confront the Lincoln Lions (Lincoln, RI) in a State Championship Division outing, on Monday, May 2. Smithfield will attempt to advance on its 2-9 season record. The Lions go into the outing with a 5-4 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Tolman (Pawtucket, RI).
