Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM), 13-1 in a league test.
With the win, Navajo Prep upgrades its record to 12-13 on the season. The Eagles host Zuni (Zuni, NM) to battle the Thunderbirds in a 3A District 1 test on Thursday, April 28. The Thunderbirds come into the test with a record of 10-5. Zuni lost 17-0 in their recent non-league test against Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM)
The Thunderbirds (10-7) will now prepare for their game against Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM). The Eagles go into the 3A District 1 game with a 10-13 record. In their last game, Navajo Prep overcame Thoreau (Thoreau, NM), 11-1, in a league game.
