The Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) volleyball overcame the visiting Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT), 3-0 in Thursday's league outing.

With the win, Newtown upgrades its record to 7-3 on the year. The Nighthawks host Pomperaug (Southbury, CT) to face the Panthers in a South-West outing on Friday, April 29. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 6-4. Pomperaug lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Joel Barlow (Redding, CT)

The Wolverines now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Kolbe-Cathedral for a South-West outing on Friday, April 29. Oxford will face a Cougars squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Shelton (Shelton, CT). The Cougars record now stands at 2-9.
