The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Somers Spartans (Somers, CT) and the host Granby Memorial Bears (Granby, CT), saw Somers's lacrosse team top Granby Memorial by a margin of 16-6.
The Spartans (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT). The Crusaders enter the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Holy Cross was overwhelmed by Watertown (Watertown, CT), 15-7, in a league challenge.
The Bears (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley Regional (Deep River, CT). The Warriors enter the non-league challenge with a 5-5 record. In their last challenge, Valley Regional beat Cromwell (Cromwell, CT), 10-2, in a league challenge.
