Kimberly Papermakers (Kimberly, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Appleton North Lightning (Appleton, WI), 23-2 in a league challenge.

The Papermakers now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fond du Lac for a Fox Valley Association challenge on Friday, April 29. Kimberly will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Kaukauna (Kaukauna, WI). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Appleton North falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Lightning host Appleton East (Appleton, WI) to battle the Patriots in a Fox Valley Association challenge on Friday, April 29. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 4-1.
