In Thursday's non-league contest, the Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH) softball team held off the visiting Logan Chieftains (Logan, OH), by a margin of 1-0.
With the triumph, Athens moves its record to 12-7 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Alexander (Albany, OH) to play the Spartans in a Tri-Valley - Ohio contest on Saturday, April 30. The Spartans come into the contest with a record of 1-14. Alexander lost 15-5 in their recent league contest against Vinton County (McArthur, OH)
In their next game, the Chieftains play the New Lexington Panthers (New Lexington, OH) in a non-league match, on Saturday, April 30. Logan will attempt to advance on its 7-6 season record. The Panthers go into the match with a 1-7 record after their 12-7 league loss to Tri-Valley (Dresden, OH).
